Exist any Rack for loading Scope instruments inside?

Well, the reason would be to can switch on/off an specified devices like B2003, or Modular II and so can save DSP power. I have just a 3 DSp card now.
Using effects I can load the MultiFx where I can load them and switch on/off to my like. I would like to do the same with the instruments like B2003. Is there any solution for this? Realize that for example B2003 does not allow to change the voices. how could I switch if off without have to delete it from the project each time?
Thanks for advance.

All I could find was something like a Multi Slot that Shroomz was announcing. Didn´t came nothing out?

I don't think it is possible ... Once a synth is laoded, it is "too late" for the DSPs ...
But Musikmesse may give more than you are asking for ?! Who knows ? Scope 5 or something else ?

generally, you can offload anything from the dsps.
So it is possible...

Yes but how ? I am really interested in the answer as It would avoid a complete remove of the device... thanks.

You can offload most devices (but not all), just setting the number of voices to 0. One exception is B2003, that doesn´t allow to change the number of voices. That´s why I´m looking into this type of rack.
If I´m not mising something, there is no way to bypass B2003 from DSP.Corect me if I´m wrong.

So there is a tradeoff between saving dsp load and 'reactivation' time.
True. Now I only have a 3 dsp card, so really can´t load B2003 and another device at time. I would like really to upgrade to more dsp, but seems not much more for the price. So I would need to wait to can afford a 14 dsp card to can have more devices open at time what would be the ideal.
For now I have to select between loosing time, or loosing much more time, like for example, loading a diferent project each time I want to change the instrument. In the case of STS or Modular, is quicker to put a 0 in the voices at the Live Bar, then loading the instrument and routing to the correct Asio outputs.
In the case of B2003, simply cannot put the voices in 0, so simply have no alternative than reloading and routing each time.

Hi lagoausente, it's an ongoing project & will be released sometime this year. Note that It will not load Creamware devices because we cannot modify their I/O structure & access the required parameters to make them compatible with our 4-slot device enviroment. So, it currently loads our own devices only, such as C4T, Colossus & some new devices we've been developing. There's also the possibility that other 3rd parties will release compatible versions of their devices.
Lastly, I have to say that 3 dsps will not be enough to run our 4-slot device. Absolute minimum requirement will be a 6dsp card, which should allow the use of 2 of the 4 slots. Using all 4 slots will require at least 12 dsps.

Thanks for the info Shroomz. Seems that I´ll need to use the voices tip, while I cannot go for more dsp.

another tip top fix this: look for a used 14 dsp card.
I couldn`t afford a new 14 dsp card also, so I bought it used for a very good price.
I think sc should rethink there pricing, a booster card without any plug-ins for a lower price would be a true seller.

I agree with you. This prices keeps away many home users to buy a 14 card new. Maybe they have stopped to make cards time ago, and have a limitted stock (just a thought).
Shit!!, I have found a good tool called PRJ preset list, that allow to save in one preset all the parameters of the project, but hell, STS and Modular doesn´t save the voice setting in the presets.

yeah, let's start watching the Scope Purchasing forum to see who's getting nervous first

3K is not easily earned by just selling a bunch of pro cards...

Why?
1500€ = 14 dsps
3000€ = 140dsps
whats the better deal?

Awesome!!!
I have just realized about the new hardware!!
Any of you know if STS still will use the PC memory? and so if still use a lot of PCI bandwith aswell as the reverbs? Or come with own ram?? Tha´s important.
Is the Expresscard the same as pcmcia?

DSP to US$ ratio for Scope Pro and Xite --
Scope Pro New $1400
$100/DSP
Scope Pro Used $700
$50/DSP
Xite $ $4600
$33/DSP
Certainly you get more for your money by buying the Xite, but at what point it's worthwhile depends on what your typical DSP load is.
I wonder how much more DSP hungry the 5.0 devices will be in comparison with 4.5.

Well, if SC have been hiring some ex-Microsoft staff, I'd say about 15 times more than before...
