Selecting ASIO SCOPE in Sibelius 5 freezes the program

Post by sonicstrav »

I have installed Sibelius 5 - got latest updates
Go to Audio Options in dialog - change driver from MME thing to ASIO SCOPE and Sibelius 5 freezes.

So I have no sound output in Sib 5 :x

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Do I use a particular Source Module?

I'm using the ASIO2 24 bit one at the moment.

This bug is quite bloody annoying :-? :-?

Should work as long as you have sequencer MIDI source and destination modules, along with the ASIO 2 DEST. A total of 4.

it´s the same here.
i quit using the vsts in sibelius.
the funny thing thing is:
it has been working fine with my old computer but since i switched to dual-core it won´t work anymore.

what you can try is: asio4all driver. it will putout on the wave-source device in scope and it works with sibelius.

personally i prefer using my old sc-88 hardware expander, it´s more stable

I was thinking along the same lines......I'll try the ASIO4ALL Driver.....I've e-mailed Sibelius about the problem
Only thing, would have to deactivate it after using Sibelius ? Say, when I close that done and go to Live 7 (the main DAW program which uses ASIO Scope).

Perhaps the prob will sort it's self out with the Scope 5 Drivers?

as far as i remember, you don´t have to close the asio4all (if i got you right), any way you can´t really close it, it´s running permantely, but you can run the both (live and sibelius) at the same time.

....and yes, i hope that the problem vanishes with scope 5

Has this problem "vanished" with scope 5?

I tend to think you get too little for the money the upgrade to scope 5 costs.

 dude, I paid 250 Euro for the new reverbs alone, when they were released.
It's the SonicTimeworks A100 and P100 - and honestly... i wouldn't have complained about twice the amount :D

cheers, Tom

nope,
Sibelius still freezes.
But works fine with asio4all.

But i haven´t tried with sibelius 6, maybe they made it work.
