First off it seems as though the Dongle must remain on the same USB Port, of course there is no more mention of this anywhere, and also having the current version of the LCC can erase the eLicenses. That was fun....

I thought my 1U QWERTY KVM Drawer's trackball went bad, so I went and spent 20 USD on a new pair of USB connected KB & Mouse. I have come to learn that I have too many USB ports being used. This was evident when I disconnected the 2 x KS88's and external DVD & Dongle. Everything worked fine, but when I started adding USB Flash Media, and the DVD, only the right side of USB QWERTY ( new 15 dollar version ), would function. No typing was allowed ??
My Device Manager shows the choices of ports that have been disabled, and since GaryB's builds never, ever crash, I shall not change any settings, as they are directly related to IRQ sharing solutions. 2 of these " disabled " ports actually still have enough power to juice up the LCD's on my KS88's.
Using many ports seems to cause problems with USB QWERTY devices. These peripherals should have little drain on the bandwidth, but using so many ports simultaneously seems to be a problem. Thankfully my KS88's are not subject to this as they use the power only, and MIDI for performing and controlling MIDI CC's.
Would a single port solution w/ a hub help anything? I know that audio snakes and MIDI can use relays to extend their lengths at big shows, and maybe a USB hub might have some sort of regulator / booster onboard?
Anyone having USB troubles like this?
