Well, my friend Carl finally came over today after 12 years. Ah yes! Raising a family and running a successful business will do that...
Anyways, this is the result of his input on a little idea I had at the beginning of the week (I knew he was coming over so I prepared something especially for him). Carl solos first, me next.

Very powerful, I like the push & pull effect of the snare being ahead and on top.
I really like the keyboard sound that sounds like a clavisynth, being a board player I can honestly say......bring it up in the mix !!

awesome playing as always! Lots of maj 3rds as transient notes in your solo, I don't know the proper terminology for it.
What trumpets did you use?? They sound very good.

oh, btw, I was up in montreal about a month ago. Actually drove to quebec, and then back down to ny through montreal. Too bad we got to montreal late on a sunday (late, as in 8:00 pm) and everything was closed. We parked right outside the underground passway (mall, subway concourse, whatever it's called) and I was freaked out because there was nobody around. We walked to a nearby Hilton, and I asked the bell captain... "Is it safe to walk around?"

The guy didn't even understand what I was asking him. I laughed and told him we were from NY.

the drums seem a little thin and the mids a little scooped, but the guitars, horns and Nestor's bass samples sound great!
