one day they will just suddenly decide not to work, not because there is something wrong, but because of a firmware error.
read that article, and contact them if the driveinfo finds one of them.
i happen to have 3 of those in various machines.

I posted up some info here a while back:
Seagate mess affects ES.2, 7200.11 & DiamondMax 22 Drives

I've got 3 ES.2 drives here, wasn't terribly happy with their level of info & support on these issues. I did re-flash my drives and am still puttering along on them though.

(edit: changed 'alone' to 'along' in my last sentence...)

If anyone is having problems I may be able to help...
