Finally upgraded again :)

Had an AMD 64 3200+ system running before this that had always served me well, but my videocard was crapping out, I had too little RAM and the whole computer was too noisy so I decided to just take the plunge and upgrade from the base up.
I decided to stick to a tried and tested chipset/cpu combo that wouldn't break the bank so I chose a Gigabyte P35 DS3R mobo with an Intel Core2Duo E7400 and 4 gigs of RAM.
The videocard is a Sapphire Radeon 4670 with heatpipe cooling so no more fan noise!
Everything seems to be working ok. And it's really quiet now which I love. I think the 4 gigs of RAM really make the most difference in general responsiveness as I only had 1 gig in the old PC.
Haven't really stresstested it yet (waiting for Scope 5 keys :)) but at least everything is stable and zipping along nicely so far.

It came to around 325 euro's total. A pretty economical upgrade I think :)
Motherboard, CPU and RAM was 248,- and 80,- for the Sapphire
This is with shipping costs included.

I bought the motherboard, cpu and RAM from Databyte (http://www.databyte.nl/)
They didn't have the Sapphire in stock then so I got that from Grijo Computers (http://www.grijo.nl/).

Always a good idea to check Tweakers.net for best prices: http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/
