Is there an expresscard PCIe interface card existing for use of XITE1 with a laptop ?

-What expresscard PCIe interface card can be used with PC laptop, please provide link.
-What PCIe interface card for desktop PC can be used, please provide link.

I am not sure what you think is needed, but the XITE-1 is the card. It's just so powerful it has to be racked. But the connection is a PCI-e 1X.
It works fine w/ a laptop. They are currently working on extended lengths.
And by all means check back in and let us know of your discoveries.
Please provide us some links........

Of course the XITE is the soundcard. But how to hook the XITE up to a PC/laptop practically is my question.
Let me be more clear.

DESKTOP:
A PCIe card you normally just put in a PCIe slot in your PC.
The XITE is a box with a PCIe connection... but how to connect it to PC now ? What card goes inside the PC slot?

LAPTOP:

You obviously cant slot in the Xite box in your PC´s PCIe slot... hence my question on desktop connection

Xite comes with a PCI interface card that plugs into the motherboard in your desktop DAW.
I presume it's S/C's card (vs. off the shelf), so no other details available - it's PCIe card. period.

later on a laptop PCMCIA/cardbus type card will be released for use with laptops. Again, I know no other details, and I'm not sure if it's off-the-shelf or custom card.

The laptop connectors are 34mm in size, but SC wanted to lengthen the cable more, as everyone will have different requirements.

Here's the PCI-e 1X connector card below.
The motherboard is the DP35DP which is a perfect board for SFP in 32bit or 64bit.

34mm being the 'standard' size for these slot-cards.

Musician, I have used an XITE box (prototype) with my Sony VAIO laptop when I was back there in Germany, just using a standard Expresscard connector that was there. I don't know what they are shipping XITE with now, but I'm sure if you ask Sonic Core directly, they can tell you the deal with Expresscard connectors....

Its clear now: the XITE ships with the extra required PCIe card for the PC.

I wonder if they will be adding an expresscard interface in the package as well, since more people use laptops these days.

i'm sure they'll make it available. right now, they're busy trying to make enough XITEs and finish v5....

Looks like Xite won't ever work with the new 13 and 15" Macbook Pro's since Apple has removed the expresscard slot in favour of an SD card slot. Only the 17" one now has an expresscard slot.

Indeed...what a stupid stupid stupid move.Atleast they brought back firewire...But to announce a sd card slot as the best thing since pussy is astouning.Why not keep the expresscard slot and include a 2$ sd card to express slot adapter....

i have a macbook pro 2,4 C2D with express card slot and that's so great. To me, the fact that Xite can be connected via express card is an important feature because this s pcie speed, far better than firewire... I know Xite can work with the express card but, from what i know theyr working on the wire itself (to get the longest wire possible without curbing the audio flow... It should not take too long now !

you can adapter pci-e to exprescard and to usb 2 and now you can run into mac book pro
