Hi,
is there a bread and butter sounds synth for XITE aka Kurzweil workstation ?
is there some Drums synth with loadable custom sounds aka Toontrack Superior ?
is there some MPC like functionality with drag and drop of samples ?

No, but it does have the STS series of samplers that accept most sampler formats.
These were relatively innovative back when they first came out years ago, but now they just really need an update.
Scope is a whole studio instrument/production environment, which is much more than just a host.

I bought mine because there will be DSP chips we add later like Rompler PCM type of Roland things.
There's suppose to be a drum chip too.
But I really want the one that plays all of my note for me so I can just show up at the gig with Arthritis when I'm 90 and collect some cash.

now, Jimmy....
btw-there IS an analog drumsynth in Scope. for a rompler based(real sounding) drumset, it's hard to beat BFD and Stylus. Kontact and Giga also have great drum samples. Scope's strength is in routing, effects, mixing and analog synths. Scope makes everything better including the afore mentioned romplers....

STS series samplers in Scope w/ the right AKAI drum libraries works pretty good too. There are a few really good acoustic libraries out there, and for electronic stuff...Dance Mega Drums I and II have been a staple in my library..... I've used these once or twice..

Buy loops and practice virtual drumming in the mirror.
I did this when I was 11 with a Guitar and became a legend in my own mind.
I am going to get a life sized cutout of myself performing on keyboards.
I will start the sequencers and drum loops with a 16 bar intro so I have time to escape over to the bar and get paid to drink and listen to my mixes.
Becuase of the quality of VDAT I will sound much better than the Karaoke guy who does my breaks. He will actually work harder than me and for less money too.

Never been a big fan of loops. I can see it for learning a specific lick or riff...etc...single drum samples are the one's for me. The STS series does not take up a lot of DSP...drag a bunch into a project...load one up with bass drums (50) load another up with snares (50) etc etc...have a dozen different kits at your fingertips...everything from brushes, jass, rock, latin, electronic...

But I want my XITE-1 to play my drums for me, why would I ever want to waste valubale time learning drum/snare and Hi-hat patterns.
It should also be able to load jpeg's of Bach, Beethoven, Jarre and other artists and have the presets there and waiting for me to press the button that will play the presets and the parts so I don't need to learn anything.
I can't believe in this day and age we would have to learn to play our instruments, it's absurd.

For you...yeah...But I can only play one instrument...I have to program everything else...
OT, someday I would like to take a few piano lessons...just so I'm not a total idiot....
All I can do now, is identify A-G on the keyboard...find middle C...a few major & minor chords...I'm pretty useless...

I use MIDI files from the internet, and post demos from developers sites in hopes that everyone here will believe my bullshit about knowing how to play etc.
I am currently under house arrest and was released 4 years ago from the Federal Protection camp at Nellis Air Base where I became interested in music since they didn't have any freeweights and excercise machines.
Pretty boring really no gangs, no drugs, just a bunch of Lawyer/turned rats, and wise guys waiting to go into witness protection.
I was at Colemena Air Base w/ Noriega in Florida for a year and learned about the drug trade, but I became more interested in music.
My days of flying in loads of coke from the Carribean are over.
I am trying to read the operation manuals of those Russian mini subs.
I hear Chavez is paying big bucks for Sonar guys and divers.
I have learned a few major and minor scales though and will continue practicing so I can gather information on Casino executives as I pose as a musician.

+1.. I like the SCOPE STS Sampler myself. There are also drumsynths included with scope stock plugins and a few commercial drum-synths for SCOPE like the RD one from Zarg. I don't know if they are all compatible with XITE-1 yet but they are available for scope pci.

If you're after decent drum sounds for the STS you'd do a lot worse than a quick search on Z for the word Stige!
Peace.
