Opinion abuot the new compressor SC C S...

Hi guy...
What do you think about the new sonic core Compressor "SC C S" ?
I like it very much....easy to use and good sound!!!
What does it emulate for you?

I (very) like it so much too.
It emulates... a very good sounding and ready to use compressor.
I really don't care if his "face" is similar to X or Y real stuff, if it sound good is ok!
... or your girl must be identical to Pamela Anderson to be your wonderful girl?!

I like it on everything. Buss, separate channel, kick, synth....very good!

Agreed.
The Gate and EQ are also nice.
I like being able to disconnect unwanted bands if they aren't needed.
For live I find all of the new S|C plugs to be very good and take little DSP resources for such a quality sound.
But for recording if I need different comps I sure have plenty, the DAS stuff is really nice, and Aderns new FAT CAT reminds me of the demo I heard of the UAD 2" Ampex Tape emulation.
I know they are bells and whistles and marketing with pictures, or various colorations claiming to be tape, etc.
But having the choices at hand are nice.
But yes the stock S|C plugs make any Meat & Potatoes kind of chap happy.

It is very forward sounding and can completely annihilate transients. Very usefull.
I've put it on vocals, kick and snare.

Very usable but not special imo

I havent tried out alot of 3rd party compressors for Scope but have tried out the Adern Fat Cat.. Now that one (and entire pack) is special. On par with UAD for sure!
