test arrangement for a friend's recording project. So I get an email, and he wanted disco. Something like EWF. So I'm like. Cool, I'll put in a synth in place for the brass but just sketch out the lines, and try to create the overall sound to see if he likes it. After arranging, I was going to email him the link.. and wait, what do I see? An email from him saying now he wants to do house, and as little disco as possible. Uh, ok, that's cool too man. lol.
If you picked up on the cowbell 4x4 during the chorus, you're a pretty hardcore EWF fan. (I got that from September)
Anyway, pretty straight forward disco. Just that the brass line is now a really cheap synth sound. lol. The arrangement is a little on the "too much" side, with both a busy clav and a busy guitar, but it's just to test the overall sound texture.

After working with him for close to 10 years, he's finally got stuff in iTunes Japan and Amazon Japan.. too bad I can't even buy it because of the international copyright restrictions. It's sort of strange seeing stuff I worked with him like 5-6 years ago just get released. Glad I didn't go cutting edge trendy back then or it would have been well past its time.

very nicce, love the arrangement and vibe, very uplifting melody n groove put a smile on my face 
, love all the sounds except one and i think u know which, that cheesy beat(main lead) that plays throughout, reminds me of a shitty brass preset on an old casio i used to have, just replace with a sound with some personality and will perfect

We probably had the same shit... Ken, nice, cool song. The second arrangement you've done sounds much better to me than the first one. There is just one single note that I don't like in the whole of the song, it is exactly between the 49 and 50 seconds of the song, it is an “F” blue note kind of touch, I don’t like it for such a melody, commercially speaking, it would be more appealing to the average ear going with a “#F” instate. Hope you understand what I mean.

ya, I see which note you mean. Well, the vocalist sings it that way, I didn't write the melody. But will be fixing stuff here and there as it's not a very "efficient" melody if you know what I mean. There's till some fluff in there that can either be taken out or refined to hold more musical meaning.
