Hi,

Does STS 3000 work on XP 32 bit? - Sorry if this has been asked a gazillion times........ :) - Just couldn't get any sound-but I can on the PCI cards but somtimes I can make the most basic mistakes with things when everything works perfectly apart from the user....

One happened yesturday.... .......thought one of the PC's was broke because it wouldn't come on. Of course not the power wasn't switched on  .....thankfully it only took a minute to realise.....anyway what about the STS 3000 on Xite - Does it work?

Works on my XITE-1D.

Theres a few notes here about it:

Like 'Run As Admin' and some BIOS setting tweaks.

Well the Xite is the only audio card connected to that PC and the OS is XP SP3 so its all quite straightforward.

I'll take another look...

Yep no problems-got it to make a noise - nice simple 142 ex patch for drum loop---

Thats a relief----so presumably it'll do the same for the 4000 and 5000? - its the 64 bit that doesn't work isn't it :)

I don't need 64 bit just yet---well I'm planning a 64 bit machine with mega RAM for the mega plugs-----thats where the extra PCI-e card comes in for Xite- :)

you don't need mega ram for much of anything.

if you really need a TON of big sample libs loaded at all times, then 64bit might be more important. there's no other reason that it might be needed.
