New XITE-1 plugins comming from old developers
Says they have started developing for XITE-1 on this site - http://www.devz.org/
Re: New XITE-1 plugins comming from old developers
That would be nice.
But for any Zarg Prowave users, there is an immediate XITE-1 capable version of Prowave.
It's basically a SLIM BETA but I can use all RD II Modules, RD Flexor and can easily use 8-12 voices.
It sounds really, really nice, so if you have Prowave and an XITE-1, contact JBowen.

Re: New XITE-1 plugins comming from old developers
Wow, glad to see a Prowave update for XITE-1. I basically had to forget about both Solaris and Prowave because both are so problematic on XITE-1, especially at 96khz. Love both synths, the sound is lovely, some of my top favorites. I will be sending John a email asap. Thanks for the info, this is good news!
Re: New XITE-1 plugins comming from old developers
I need to post a clarification or two, since being contacted about this earlier today...
1) this requires a compatible set of RD modules to work. There are no oscillators and no filter on board
2) It was not 'optimized' for XITE; this is an old Beta that I sent Jimmy some time ago, and he decided to try it with XITE to see how it was. Apparently it works pretty well with an XITE module (though I'm somewhat surprised it does).
cheers,
John B.

Re: New XITE-1 plugins comming from old developers
I hope I didn't stir up a Hornets nest but mine has Oscillators. The CEMs and the Wavetables, and it will accept the RD II Modules, the Dual CEM Oscillator module seems to be DSP heavier than all others.
I also have an RD Slot on the Filters, with the stock CEM LP as default.
I think I am missing the extra Looping EGs and stuff I never used. As you said, it was a meat and potatoes version.
I too was surprised at how well it worked with the latest Update for the XITE-1.
I had a JimmyV OS, then a second update, and most Zarg stuff worked fine, just at lower polyphony. This seems true with the Solaris still, but the QWave SE works pretty well as a 6-8 voice synth, but Prowave SLIM BETA is a blessing.
I apologise for Soundesigner calling you old too, totally unacceptable....
Ankyu.

The regular version should be the one that has all the oscs and filter plus RD slots. Typically, the 'slim' versions of plugins I've done have been without any of the modules that the RD slots allow you to load....
But I'll have to check later, since I'm not running Scope at the moment. It might be a 'really special Beta version' you got there, Jimmy

It is...
If you remember I was really talking to you quite a lot and had recieved an incredible amount of BETA versions.
I really enjoyed that month as Holger, Ralf (Bach) and you were just on fire.....
I can send it to you if you need me to.

Well here it is in action, I couldn't time the Shroomz Meter and my Print Screen function but I can assure you I am using Max poly,
which by the way stores poly per preset, unison and seperate Oscillator
Glide per preset, I do bypass the generic FX ( no offense, I call 'em like I see 'em)
but have a dozen or so LFOs, Endless JBowen, Flexor Filters, all of the Black Box II FIlters, multi's in many cases,
All of JBowen and SpaceF Oscillators Multiple as shown above.
A total of 54 Oscillators, 68 Filters, even the RD II Module known as EG as an Oscillator.
Rotors, you name it.
Modular Inserts anywhere, basically the most Flexible synth other than Modular for the XITE-1.
I do have the Prowave Modular but it is a low poly version.
I you made this SLIM ( Phatty ) version into Modular I would pay 200 USD no questions asked.
This is a fierce bastard.
We had a hit and didn't even know it.
Klaus must have done some magic we didn;t see in the first 2 RCs.
Each preset calls together any combinations of over a hundred extra possiblities, and loads the programmed Polyphony.
Loading the Rotors CEM Filters loaded you made for me. loads with the CEM Pairs in the first slot,
but I quickly replaced when the Rotor seemed to take anything I threw at it. No need for DSP 7 trick or anythins, I just loaded and jammed.
It was almost as much fun when I first got Solaris.
But where it says Rotor CEMs in Osc A of the one example and shows a packed Rotor, this is a slight GUI flaw,
but who cares when the Rotor is showing a Full House.
Also FWIW, this is the only 3rd party developer I am aware of
that pays attention to every tiny detail to the point that I can hide
the device on the LIVE Bar since it is recallable by screenshots.
Hats Off to perfection...
