Great news and great promotion for SC and the XITE-1. Would love to attend if I can but it depends on getting out there from UK, so can't promise. But best of luck with that Roland and thanks for letting us know. I am sure some of the folk here will be able to make it.

Ken Suguro might make the NYC Trip. He'a a great dude, loves Modualr too.
Will you make a recording for us or is it on a Need To Know basis...?
Have Fun in the Poconos and Catskills. No Alaps altitude, but beautiful in September.

If you get a chance to see my old Reed man perform check him out.
Usually performs with really top shelf synthesists too.

Hey how did it go?
I was away from reality and society for 1 week. Nothing but wilderness with the occasional cell phone call.
Hope it was festive.

Roland; I hope to attend for one of the days.
Do you know what day you will be performing? when will they post a schedule of events? Are you doing a separate workshop/seminar as well?

I like the Rebar jpeg.
Being a retired tradesmen I can see the Stirrups, and tie offs.
Looks like #9 gauge, and appears to be a retainer wall.
I could be wrong though...
Now that I am sure of the date I shall try and make it out there.
I have many freinds in NYC I really miss, this could be a great trip.
When the Rebar is curled at the top, or angles off to 90 degrees, we call those lay off bars, as it's a sign the wall/columns are finsished, and we are about to get 2 checks as we search for another gig.
Seeing a Rebar jpeg. is a sign. Odd that Modular synthesist GuRu posts a pic only some chump like me would recognize.....

Whaaa funny!

I agree, it's a SIGN!
As I stated before:
Karin Schomaker and I will do the
form follows function concert:
6 September - 22.00 hours.
In the afternoon, the 6th also, at 16.00 hours I will not give a workshop but the Lecture / e-book presentation:
Modular strategies in shaping reflections and space
Roland Kuit: Clavia NMG2
This will deal with subjects as:
Stereo, Spectral stereo, Pseudo stereo, Ambiophonics, Phase inversion,The Delay module, Sample delay, Feedback, Delay networks, Hybrid forms, Reverberation,Granular reverberation and delays, Delay taps, Switchable spaces, Shifting frequencies, Resonators, Building pre-set resonators, Delay matrixes, Building resonator matrixes, Doppler FX, Creating swirls, Physical modelling, Pseudo Karplus-Strong, Phase-lock loop and Karplus-Strong, Creating tubes.
I get 1 hour, so I'm still thinking how to lay this down for listeners. And lots of coffee!
The Friday 6th schedule:
http://event.electro-music.com/Friday.html
I am only there Friday. I would have liked to stay longer at the Festival but NYC is calling us back.

Brotha' Man YaYaJohn....
Just found a round trip for 309 USD, just need to stay in DC for 8 hours and try and block the lies from entering my ears, then off to Long Island Slip.
Rent a Car is more than the flight, but for 600 USD and Food it might be do able.

If you want to stay the full 3 days on this festival, there are (chaired) rooms at the Greenkill Retreat centre.
Because we stay only 1 day, we've booked a hotel at Manhattan. For going to the event and back we've rented a car.

yes i def plan on going at least for the Friday overnight and may end up staying thru the weekend. looks like a blast.
JV; Stewart Aiport (KSWF) looks like the closest airline service but not sure of costs. The other big airports might be cheaper but then you've got rental cars and at least an hr drive and maybe more depending on traffic.
If you def plan on going then pm me as we get closer. I may have some hotel options for you.

between you, me and Roland that'll be 3 Xite-1's there, we may end up taking the place over lol
