Hello everybody

I have a Pulsar plus and two powersamplers, but I am only able to use one of the Powersamplerboards. If I install both Powersamplerboards at the same time, I can't load the Powersampler device without getting either the errormessage: "Capacity limit reached" The specific cause is: Cannot add module S4K Master Mixer64. Or the errormessage: "Capacity limit reached" The specific cause is: No more STDM connections from board 0 to 2.
I have tried everything, has anyone tried anything like that, and maybe even found a way to solve the problem?
I have PIII 933, CUSL 2, 512 mb ram 133 mhz, IBM 45 GB ATA 100, Matrox G450 DH.

Thanks
Pederb

well, that might be the reason creamware raised the number of s/tdm-connectors from one to two on the second generation of pulsar boards... ...sorry that i cannot help you...

Pederb,
I have two Pulsar 1 cards and I was having many problems until I finally realized that my cable was upside down. I'm used dto computer cables having the red stripe on the left, but the cards are mounted upside down in my computer. The stripe should be on the left from the top-side of the card. This also applies to the ADAT "in" in the manuel is shown on a right-side up card.
Also, moving cards around to different PCI slots does wonders. My Athlon will not recognize a card on slot 3.

Hi.
Re-install Pulsar software. Your sampler will now appear as an STS-4000.
An solution to the no S/TDM connection, is to edit Pulsar.ini and remove the lines stating S/TDM connection. (See manual for further info..)Pulsar will then re-scan the S/TDM bus.

Hi Jakke
Thanks for your interest. I have tried all that, but none of those things make a difference. I have also tried many different PCI-slot, IRQ, and bios-setup combinations, but nothing changes the problem, do you think there could be a hardware problem?

Yo! Peace!

Hi Chuck

I'm sorry but don't understand what you are saying. Is it the S/TDM cable you are talking about?

Peder,
Yes, the S/TDM cable. Some computers mount the cards upside down. If that's the case, the red strand must be on the right side instead of the left. There are some tiny numbers also that should be read from the top side.
