Well this is so fantastic I’m posting it in a few threads.
I’ve always loved Wolfs MIDI Tool Box, and SpaceFs Devices for MIDI.
My only problems were no Screensets capability, and no preset recall.
But thankfully those devices are static, and can be used for certain functions where presets and Screensets aren’t vital.
Recently bought a 250 dollar TC Helicon VoiceLive Touch.
I was impressed with its MIDI Automation control and sound quality I had to find something in Scope for automating it’s parameters for live performance.
dNa’s MIDI Tools, the Switcher worked so well I ended up buying 2 x TC Helicon VoiceRacks used for 1100 USD.
Of course you need a Master MIDI Controller to pull this off, buttons and faders, scene changes, etc.
Below there’s my project window and MIDI Routings.
Top MIDI Filter is Mixer automations in Scope, plus Sharcs Modular IV and Hammond B3 drawbar Controller, which gets merged with ASIO automations in Bidule, my VST Host for live work.
Middle Filter is for Bidule where Kontakt, PLAY, UVI, PTeq, Zebra2 HZ and Omnisphere/Keyscape reside.
Bottom MIDI Filter is for external XITE MIDI Out which controls a pair of TC Helicon VoiceRacks.
Preset recall on the TC Helicon is vital for selecting the Key/Scale the song is in, major, minor, etc.
This is done as soon as my Physis K4 selects the song.
Ray D.’s MIDI Device is crucial because during a song I kick off/on delays, sometimes need that lo-fi Transducer kicked on for the tail, etc.
So a single button on my controller can kick off and on the “Pads” on dNa device in real time. The harmonys are also triggered in the same fashion.
My 2 vocalists are freaked out now as at the gigs everyone thinks we’re playing to pre recorded tracks.
They didn’t know I’m actually playing those horn riffs while doing Hammond B3 and automating FX.
THIS DEVICE IS A GOD SEND.
SCOPE IS RULER OF THE LIVE PERFORMANCE WORLD.
