Hello

I am wondering if there are any user here with a new ryzen 2 3000 and the older pci pulsar cards?

I find it hard to search for a Mobo with 2 or more pci slots.

I am currently on a 1366 system. One of my ddr3 is broken and I am forced to use it in single channel Wich is slow (2x4gb) and I use native instruments and big library's, lots of vst and processing. My system is seriously slowing down. Ableton startup is getting super slow and loading project is also slow.

I can buy a w3699 cou 40€, 6x4gb ddr3 ram (70€) and keep using this old system or invest in a z97 chipset with only max 4 cores or invest in a whole new system ryzen 2 but not sure about compatibility.

Anyone know any motherboard with 2 legacy pci for the ryzen 2 3600 cpu?

X370A is for the first gen Ryzen. With the bios update it claims to work with 3xxx.

I'm using 2700X. I just did a short test with my pci cards, which worked. Today this machine runs linux for different tasks.

If you're using vintage software ( XP-age), I'd recommend intel, as the ryzen doesn't seem to be as backward compatible as my I7's.

To bad the pci is under the GPU slot.

I use scope 5.1 and mostly waves arturia and native instrulents with Ableton.. some 32bit plugs with jbridge in win 10.

I will have a look if I can find it near Belgium.

Hi, more Ryzen 3000 compatible boards with 2 pci slots:

Biostar X470gta ATX

MSI B350 TOMAHAWK ATX

Asus PRIME B350-PLUS ATX

MSI B350 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC ATX

Asus PRIME X370-A ATX

MSI B350 GAMING PLUS ATX

Be sure before buying one of those boards, that firmware is up to date for your Ryzen CPU, or you will need a compatible one to update the bios as no one of the mentioned models seems to have a cpu-less flash utility.

As an alternative you could try with some pci-e to pci adapter.

Star tech PCI to PCI-e adapters work well on my buddy’s ancient Hammerfall PCI Card.
No reason why Scope PCI wouldn’t work.
