the Sonnet Technologies card DOES work, but beware. not all thunderbolt connections are really thunderbolt.
if it is a usb3/thunderbolt connection, it probably will not work.

Asus ProArt StudioBook Pro X must have a real thunderbolt connection.

It's not necessary to post to so many threads. People aren't responding because we have a userbase that has been established for 20 years, and so many of our regulars only check here periodically. If you're in a hurry and aren't getting the response you need, why not reach out to Sonic|Core support and inquire if there's someone who can help you get up to speed for a small fee? I'm sure their tech support team knows such a person...

Re: Is anyone who tried to connect loptop with xite-1 by thunderbolt connection external express Card reader?
I asked a Sonnet and sonic core xite-1 technicians about Asus G703. They replied that there is no attempt to do so, but in theory it must work, but in practice does not guarantee. I have no desire to experiment with 4000€ equipment.
Re: Is anyone who tried to connect loptop with xite-1 by thunderbolt connection external express Card reader?
Why would you think that Sonic|Core can afford to test every combination of equipment out there? This is a relatively small product line compared to buying a new GPU or other computer component, and so the number of tried & true combinations of hardware we can reference for you is limited to the community you see here. If noone is responding, then the questions you're asking need answers by someone. If not you...then who?

if it is a usb3/thunderbolt connection, it will not work. there.
if it is a true thunderbolt connection, the Sonnet adapter WILL work.

Just only because of interest ..garyb wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2020 3:55 pm if it is a usb3/thunderbolt connection, it will not work. there.

How to recognize a "true thunderbolt" connection ?
I guess, for the common user, it´s as hard as to recognize a "true PCI connection" (for the old Creamware cards).

if it's called "thunderebolt/usb3", you have all the needed information.

Your forum is there to share experiences. It is understood that the manufacturer is first contacted for compatibility, as only he knows in detail what the product is made of and what compatibility the product has. This is followed by users who have experience with one or another combination of devices. I think it’s normal to ask here and the topics are similar.

Isn't "thunderebolt / usb3". It's "thunderebolt 3 / usb-C".garyb wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2020 7:57 pm if it's called "thunderebolt/usb3", you have all the needed information.
It looks alike, but it is not the same.
