1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!
Dear Community,
We want to post limited offer for XITE-1 to involve more SCOPE friends for Beta-Testing of Scope v8. (Just available for XITE, not for the PCI boards). It is planned that Scope v8 can be downloaded after the offer ends. Starting with x64 fixes, new Wave & ASIO drivers already implemented, we aim to implement more in v8 during the beta testing phase.
Happy Spring!
Yours
S|C Holger

So Scope 8 will never be available for PCI?

It should be available for PCI as well, but XITE first.

That's good to hear. I will buy it the minute it comes out.

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!
Is it possible to install both,- SCOPE/XITE beta 8 and SCOPE/XITE v7 (latest build) 64Bit on the same desktop/laptop,- testing beta 8 and using v7 x64 for work ?Holger Drenkelfort wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 2:57 amIt should be available for PCI as well, but XITE first.
Which 64Bit OS will be supported ?
Still Win 7, 8.1,- or only Win10 and 11 ?
Does it support Win11 ?
Is the ASIO driver 64Bit now?
If yes, what does it mean for 32Bit SCOPE then?
Will there be still a 32Bit version usable on old(er) WinXP SP3 and Win7 (Pro) x86 machines ?

Both Apps v7 and v8 can be installed on one machine, but the driver needs to be switched (re-installed) when switching between v7 and v8 Appluications. SCOPE v8 comes with a new driver, which is not compatible to the SCOPE v7 Application.
Supported OS is all from Win 7 to WIn 11 and there is a SCOPE 32 version still.
XP is still good but not a priority in testing here.
ASIO is 64 bit.

This is all good news.
I´ll possibly reserve my Lenovo W541 workstation laptop w/ expresscard slot and running Win11 Pro x64 for SCOPE v8 beta.
Intel i7 2.8GHz MQ and 16GB of RAM w/ 2 SSDs should be enough horsepower, isn´t it?

Very excited PCI user here.
Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!
Fantastic news Holger, and wishing you success with the promotion. I'm looking forward to trying out Scope 8 for XITE afterwards and then upgrading to the PCI version when it becomes available.
Like some other users above I am also running Scope v7 for Xite and Scope v7 for PCI on the same PC here.

Quite tempted here to fire up the V8 on my Lenovo P50 with expresscard. Looking forward to hear about any of your observations, once you pull the trigger.Bud Weiser wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 6:47 am

@ Sonic Core: Maybe a longshot, but I hope that V8 can improve what seems to be expresscard bandwidth limitations. E.g. I can get only one stable Mattomat loaded on my laptop, but several Mattomats on my stationary PC.

Thank you Holger! This is excellent news and i can't wait to buy and try v8. Glad to see the determination of SonicCore, it tells me everything will be fine!

As a big SDK user I am concerned about having to reinstall drivers to switch between v8 and SDK 7.
I hope this can be dealt with quickly with maybe a new SDK 8 even if it is just SDK 7 with new compatible drivers.
I would be happy to beta test such versions

SDK has the same source base, so there is an SDK V8 with x64 fixes and drivers same as the application.

Holger, is the beta open to existing Xite owners?

1st post !
I understood, every XITE-1 user will be able to download SCOPE beta 8 when the "special offer" has ended. It is planned that Scope v8 can be downloaded after the offer ends.
That would be from march 27 on,- no?
Please correct me when I´m wrong and when I still have to sign up for the beta test program before.

Scope v7 x64 already runs on my (other) Lenovo W540 running Win10Pro.Xite Knight v2.0 wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 1:17 pm

So, I´d expect it running on a P50 too.
You say there´s a hardware related bandwidth difference when comparing the expresscard34 and the PCIe x1 card for XITE-1 ?Xite Knight v2.0 wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 1:17 pm @ Sonic Core: Maybe a longshot, but I hope that V8 can improve what seems to be expresscard bandwidth limitations.
I don´t use Mattomat, but I can imagine the bandwith limitation you recognize is possibly mainboard related,- laptop vs your desktop PC.Xite Knight v2.0 wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 1:17 pm E.g. I can get only one stable Mattomat loaded on my laptop, but several Mattomats on my stationary PC.
AFAIK, both the currently sold expresscard34 and PCIe card for XITE-1 are PCIe 2.0 standard and x1 (1 PCI lane) bandwidth.
I guess, the older PCIe card (w/ DVI connector) was PCIe 1.1 standard.
I hope this is true ... Holger ???

Also, finally, and I think it’s the right move… prioritise, focus and perfect first scope for the current and actually manufactured product Xite-1….
