yeah, porn? i was thinking to get me some good ol' russ meyers' funk stew, but this is 'miami vice' all over
easy going track, nice percussion stuff, excellent chord stabs (sorry joe, i love that kitschy stuff).
could do well for any american film/show, except for, well yeah, the 'orch hits': commercially not very recommended me thinks

Upon listening to the tune through my cheap speakers, I tend to agree with you, Joeka.
The thing is, I LIKE the sound of the hits but I have a very hard time with mixing. Perhaps some EQing and space would do the trick. What do you think? I'm going for that "Art of Noise" sound in that passage...

Art of noise!! I can sort of understand where you were heading. I personally think the hits are working in the right direction. Great guitars, as always. Great pads too. They also bring out a certain art of noise-ness feel.
And porn music... hehe, well, I would agree with that one too. Whether it be porn, or a clip of deep sea diving, this tune makes you look for details, feel intricate sensations. But I guess the ethnic feel of the percussion kind of brings out the eroticism.. Or maybe not eros.. but more along the "exotic" line. Imagine this song used for a tourism promotion clip for.. Singapore? And the tune leaves perfect room for a voice over!

Ok ! The tune is updated now.
Did a fair bit of EQ'ing the Hits and hard panning them as well.
For those of you who got the other version, please compare and let let me know your impressions.

Cool beats and cool vibe, definitely. Porn? I certainly wouldn't know!! *cough*!
While a cool sound, and well played, there's something unsettling about the guitar part - it seems to be just almost in tune, almost out of tune for the whole thing (sounding especially flat towards the end). Intentional? Just my lousy ears?

But seriously, I like it. It's certainly got a very intense, "electrical" atmosphere. The hits are a bit problematic although the sound itself is ok (a bit more rev. maby).
Damn, I like to critisize. Better even than making music
