Proph@t Plus?

About two years ago i bought the Pro Wave.

I remember that Zarg was giving the Proph@t Plus on top.
John Bowen was even sending me a demo.
Sadly i couldnt buy them at that time.
I had to decide for another Sonic Core offer.
But it seems that selling of the Pro Wave went directly to Sonic Core.

So i didnt get the Proph@t Plus when buying the Pro Wave.

I would have been happy though, as that is more the classic Pro 5 and uses less cpu,
which i dont have too much of.
Or am i missing something?

Thank you!

YEP!
Prophet Plus is not really Rro 5 sound

There was a legal dispute over the name, so "Prophet" wasn't allowed to be used despite the @ symbol. See also SC Profit5!

john wrote about your Pro-Wave on zarg music:
Pro-Wave, taken from the Prophet Plus and adding the Waldorf-style oscillators and more flexible PolyMod routing, among other things. (See below for complete details.)
As you can see, the oscillator menu includes the CEM oscillator (standard Prophet sound), a WAV
Osc, an RD Slot, and all of the Waldorf waveshapes. Graphics for each appear (and disappear) as needed. The PolyMod section has been expanded in 2 ways - there
are 2 mod paths, but now are not fixed Source (only Filter Env and Osc B in the Prophet), with a popup list selecting a number of sources. Also, the destinations have
been expanded to match the LFO (Wheel Mod) section, as with Sonic Core's Pro-12 ASB. You can also see that I've added the Wave Envelope (called Looping Env
here) from the Quantum Wave and Solaris v4.x synths.
Now featuring the following:
1) Separate exponential glide for each oscillator
1) Filter emulations of the SSM, CEM (Prophet 5 rev1 & 2) and Minimoog
1) Midi clocking of the Loop Envelope
2) Extended Midi times for sync - up to 8 bars/1 cycle
3) Note and Mod Wheel added to PolyMod Source lists
4) Enable switch and Sensitivity added for Mod Wheel
5) Panning circuit from Solaris added.
The Pro-Wave is completely compatible with the current Proph@t Plus preset lists.

Ps.: Pro-Wave Modular v1_2
+ GUI BUG: Switch "Osc2 Midi Sync" (no hidden in Add Panel Surface)
+ LFO BUG: standard Lfo Freq not work
John declined my support in 2023. He also sold his scope sandbox, unfortunately. ...
that's why I'm not allowed to share fixed dev, sorry
!! bring John back to Scope !!

Wow, thank you very much for this detailed answer!
Very appriciated!

So, if i want to stay close to the orignal Pro 5 (to learn how this synth works) and use less cpu, i have the choice of using
the Profit 5.
WIthout really knowing, i thought that the John Bowen version would be maybe more original.
When you write "He also sold his scope sandbox", does that mean a kind of development environment for Scope?
So that he doesnt develop for Scope anymore?
I thought for developing devices, one would use the SDK.

Modular is wayyyy too much for my brain!
I want to keep it as simple as possible.

YEP!
he doesnt develop for Scope anymore.
he now lives his own DSP farm, also called Solaris!
Check here: https://www.amazona.de/test-john-bowen-solaris-synthesizer/
Unfortunately, he does not share the latest DSP atoms with SC or us...
There seems to be a DSP programmer on board who could also dust us off. >> i'm eyeing 64-bit STS VDAT, Wave, Delay, etc. ...

OK, use Profit 5 to get to know it.
One floor up would be Pro-Wave,
and you're right up there with the Prophet up in heaven with the Pro-Wave Modular.
~and fly~
