Unlike Solaris 5 which just has one standard download for it.

This Solaris core has a dsp card download and a Xite download.

Solaris Core is fat, but works smoothly on XITE, very stable. It has been checked well without any issues. Regarding voices: it’s possible to go up to around 8 voices. Recommanded using 1–2 voices for bass sounds, and around 4–6 voices for other types like synth keys, motion pads, or strings depending on the number of voices needed.

It comes with a setup executable for xite or pci boards. No need to copy single files.

The device is too demanding so you can't reach high polyphonie.

Cool. Though I don’t mind copying single files, quite like the control of doing such a thing. 😄

Will i still be able to achieve low Voice Polyphonies?

Yes, 4 Voices are stable, it can reach even 6 voices without problem at 96kHz.

Well,- polyphony is important for me.
Oberheim Xpander (6 voice) is,- with the exception of my monophonic vintage Minimoog D,- my lowest polyphony synth and I like to layer w/ other synths offering minimum 6 voices and fast voice allocation.
I have 10 fingers and a sustain pedal and I don´t like to wrap my head around how many voices I can use with which patch at which sample rate and so on.
That´s possibly o.k. in a studio when doin´ sound design and/or sequencing tracks but not when playing a stack of synths and record in realtime.
So, I wonder if the synth is for me or not.

Is there a demo-key available for Solaris Core ?

:)

Hello friends,

Running on the XITE-1/D, Solaris Core performs impressively well despite the demands of its synthesis engine.

The sound quality is exceptional! clear, deep, and very well defined. It clearly feels the DNA of the Solaris hardware. The layout is intuitive and easy to work with, and 4–6 voices run perfectly while it can easily reach 8 voices of polyphony.

I’ve created 128 new presets, and the synth has proven both musically inspiring and technically stable and rock solid!

Huge thanks to Holger and John for making this amazing synthesizer device available for the scope users!
cheers
loren

Thank you Holger! I think 4-6 Voices @ 96khz is absolutely fine!

Solaris hardware algorithm on SCOPE is definitely AS GOOD AS IT GETS when it comes to new plugins for SCOPE! The SCOPE platform needed some new next-generation synthesizers to go with Modular 4 and Solaris is still that. In fact i would argue Solaris hardware is still the best sounding synth out there and to now have a Core version of it on SCOPE IS AMAZING and i would argue the best plugin addition one could ask for.

THANK YOU HOLGER FOR THIS WONDERFULL ADDITION TO SCOPE! I will be buying this immediately!!

Solaris Core can definitely handle its 16 voices when I use 2 basic oscillators and an ECO filter, and no additional modulations and effects. And in mono mode with one voice, the preset switching times are minimal. The FX chain also plays a major role in the whole consideration.

Yes, a temporary key is possible. Just install the plug-in and send the request string to office@sonic-core-de
