This is a Mod2 patch I did following to j9k matrix 8x8.

The device uses:
-8in/out Mod2
-spacef textmodular.

It does about the same as j9k matrix 8x8, but it has some extra options. I added frequency separation, or as far is it can go with one 24dB BPF per band, send those to a compressor (each) and then to a pre-matrix insert slot. Then the signal goes into the matrix (like on j9k's) and each matrix output passes thru another insert slot before leaving the 8I/O Module.

I consider adding keyfollower on CF, master knob on reso, and double filters. These are to weak. but before I double filters, I want to control them, per pair, from one single knob.

Wouldn't say this one's cool. Rather an experiment.

Today I made a 4 band stereo matrix, it's way better than the patch above. Without fx, initial preset, it sound nearly the same as the original. I'm trying to get pitvh bend or notes to control frequencies, any one could tell me how?

In the meantime I'm gonna figure out how to easy control the patch w Pc1600x. I want it to play easy, use sysex under faders of Pc1600x (combined CC#).

I made the patch, put envelope followers on a second matrix, fed by the outs from the first one. I made a kit of real nice presets w filter sweeps and such. Tried to reload the patch, it gave me errors 'Recursion w/o delays' Yes I'm feeding back, but not to the audio port. To a modulation port. Damn! How comes Pulsar doesn't warn me when I'm creating the patch? This is no funny.

i don't think you'll be able to use pitch bend to affect filter frequencies the obvious way (there may be some way to derive the correct modulation signal).

if i remember correctly it only works when the freq out on an mvc is connected to the frequency in on an oscillator.

mod inputs don't work with frequency based source modulation, well it will do something, but it isn't very usefull nor do i understand how a modulation input which is looking for value based modulation interprets this as one is sweeping the frequency of a constant frequency module.

key follow would work fine, if you ran out of mod inputs you could just mix this modulation signal with another one allready feeding a mod input.

a neat idea i gleaned from defex's new device is splitting the key modulation between multiple sources. this might be interesting to try with a patch like this where multiple filters are being used to split up a signal into frequency bands. i don't recall the name of the midi module which can do this but i know there is one.

so in short, just an mvc b.
