This little track is the first one I ever finished (at least I suppose it is!?) and I would be glad to hear your opinion. Could use some advice!

now this is a friendly ditty! so love to blow the horn as well? it's a bit rough as the mix is concerned, but that's the way i like it. maybe some kind of chord change or altered trumpet might take it to a higher level. ever heard of tortoise? this band came to my mind when listening to your song...
i always feel my song's not finished

mmm. There's a lot of warmth in this tune. It sounds very kind and gentle. Great chill out tune, maybe to wake up to and then some coffee. I think this tune will actually make the air smell fresher.

This song makes me feel good, almost like a child again.
If I close my eyes I see a clown dancing...
You ask for advice, well, Maybe a bit more variation in the outro... Don't be afraid on that trumpet, you got a beatiful tone.

thnax for your posts!
I hope I can post some more songs in the near future.
Actually I have been making computer-music for at least three years now, but never finished anything. I always got lost in the amazing possibilities of digital music. All those effects, all those synths, all those styles... Just too many ways to go.
Does anybody know a trick how to cope with that?

Join a contest, promise someone that you'll do a tune for a club event, or colaborate. All these things will impose a definite deadline for you product and it's all good experience! Having technique is one thing, but keeping it under control is anotherthing. But practice makes perfect so keep making tons of music.

Keep up the good work............
One of the tunes that i like the most so far that I've found on Planet Z. I like the live groove in it. Somhow Chill&Ninjatunelike.
Did you play the trumpet yourself?
Keep it this way and maybe get some frieds to rmx or remaster it maybe.

Sorry, no I didn´t play the trumpet myself.
Unfortunately I am just one of those numerous guitarists.
I just put three tones from a record into the sts (played by a wonderful genius, remember the name of the song

).

Wow, you really got that sts working for you. Yes, I know the old genius well, and in fact now you mention it I could actually recognise that sound.
This is a really beautiful song, very chilled.
With regards finishing music, it is definitely about setting deadlines otherwise it is never finished. There is always more that can be done. However, sometimes doing more detracts from the initial creativity.
The way I deal with it is by not knowing the possibilities ! But i'm learning . . . this could be the end of my song-making career !

Really nice - I like the bit where it breaks down. Plenty of space. I'd make the outro a bit longer.
I look forward to hearing more. Ken made a very good point earlier about creating deadlines for yourself. Believe me, it's the only way!!!
