Fad Gadget is dead
Sadness
Fadgadget was one of my all-time favourite artists. Each of his albums showed real variety and invention. I especially liked Fireside Favourites - Arch of the Aorta & Pedestrian & the Box. Later I liked For Whom the Bell Tolls and Under the Flag (I & II). Ad Naseum, Plainsong and Swallow IT were also highlights.
He managed to change his style from album to album yet still retain his own personal style. Never did he slavishly follow the current musical trend of the time, yet always his instrumentation and lyrics remained current.
And when many artists devolvd to pop or more "decdent" industry session-muso styles, he maintained credibility through his career.
Anyone have links to his work on CD ?
Sadly missed.
