You may know about this one, but in case not I downloaded the Triangle II synth
http://www.rgcaudio.com/
and was quite impressed,
especially as it's free!

Yep a pretty cool device if I say so myself.
Ever since Pulsar, I'm calling all softsynths, samplers and effects devices.
Hmmmmm.

I downloaded Triangle - and the demo for Pentgon too. Pentagon was pretty good - but then it costs USD$99...
But Triangle I found to be a bit weak. The filter and resonance are extremely touchy and very harsh. The envelopes are also quite abrupt.
Although this is a free device it doesn't compare IMHO with the sonic or ergonomic quality of SFP free devices. But it is certainly nice to be able to run in a VSTi host and render.......

Triangle II isn't bad.
Anybody tried the GalactIx? I like this one a lot! Trouble is I haven't found any presets for it yet.

Yeah, I have GalactiX - even used it in a tune.
It's not that flexible and it's almost amateurish in operation. In other words, I'm not really fond of some of it's idiosyncrasies.
However, it can produce some nice sounds and wave import is pretty handy.
I haven't really played with Crystal much. I get a bit daunted by really complicated synths and crystal is certainly that. But maybe eventually I'll get around to it.
I wasn't as fond of Triangle I as I am of Triangle II. And I own Pentagon I as well which is a pretty impressive synth for the money.
