I've got ASUS CUL2 MoBo which has six PCI slots. I only use two of them; Pulsar I and SCSI Card. Now the qoestion is why did computer asigned both to the same IRQ# (5)and is it possible to manualy asign IRQ# to specific device. Also, does it mater which PCI slot is used(Pulsar is on first, the closest to the AGP slot and SCSI card is on the last). Thanx, marko

as far as the slots go...the pulsar manual says not to use the first or the last one (something to do with defaults, i am too lazy to go reas it now), so don't do it...same irqs, they say, are allowed though in most cases though.

I just bought the same board and took a closer look in the bios. It IS possible to manually assign any IRQ to any speciffic PCI-slot (watch out while some slots share the same IRQ), also in your Asus booklet is explained exactly how to do that...

Slots 1+5 are a great choice for 2 Pulsar boards on the CUSL2 since they share.

Slot 2 can be totally unshared on the CUSL2. With one card, this might be a good one to use, such that the heat from the video card doesn't heat up your CW card.
