Hi everybody.
Up front, here´s a little info about my setup
AMD 1600XP/ MSI K7T Pro 2/ 40GB Seagate/ Matrox G550 dual(AGP-slot)/ 768MB RAM/ Hoontech DSP 2000 (PCI-slot 2, IRQ 10)/
Pulsar XTC (PCI-slot 3, IRQ 11)/ Windows XP/
Cubase 5.1r.
Now here´s the problem, the cpu load starts starts to rise to a 100% when I start playback. a couple of seconds later computer starts to hang, even though i have only one instrument loaded. relief brings the unload of that plug-in. in addition to that, it seem I´m unable to load FX plug-ins onto the board. during installation of the card I couldn´t find a XP driver so I thought I´d go with the 2k. as I`m not a really experienced computer crack, I would appreciate some HEEEEEEEELP!

I have the same problem.
I tried installing the drivers again, moving
my card to another slot, changing buffers in
asio control panel...everything i could think
of.... no result.
One thing I can tell for sure is that the other sound card (on board VIA chipset Audio card) is on the came irq (10) and can not be
moved to another irq.

Is there a way to configure XTC to another irq??

Here are some Thoughts.

First you have to prevent automatic IRQ-assignment for the PCI-Slot your pulsar
is connected to. (best is #3)Depending on your mainboard, this should be fairly easy. Refer to your manual, how this step is done properly. You can keep assigning IRQ´s till
hell freezes over, if the bios or windows assigns them for ya.
Then turn off the onboard sound-card, if you´ve bought another one you probably don´t wanna use the onboard anyway.
O.K. reboot & install the newest software.
Check the hardware manager if windows has adopted your bios settings.

oh, by the way, if you happen to have a MSI K7T Pro 2 or similar you´ll get problems with the PCI-Bus.
