Hello to all! :smile:

I was wondering about a couple of things regarding Cubase SX and I would like to ask you about your experience.
1) Can you run a 'simulation' at the ASIO Multimedia Setup of SX with no problems? Cubase seems to work most of the time fine for me, with no sync problems. However when I run the the ASIO setup, I get all sorts of error messages with SX reporting me that my current configuration is not setup properly. Do you experience the same thing?
2) On what things is ASIO latency dependant? With a Pulsar2+XTC cards and a P4 2.4GHZ with 1GB RDRAM shouldn't I be able to use the lowest ULLI setting experiencing no clicks and pops?
3) What is the difference between ASIO2 Dest and ASIO2 Dest 64 modules? The manual doesnt mention anything.

Thank you! :smile:

Hi! rodos1979

Telegraphic answer. Excuse my english.

1) Use the ASIO Scope driver!! Simulation not needed for this.

2) Creamware don't recommend setting lowest value for ULLI. My PC runs 1 Pulsar2, 1 Ghz RIMM & only P4 1,4 GHz on ASUS P4T-i850. I've selected the middle position 7 ms@44,1 KHz. Virtually no clicks. Some clicks with 4 ms and HARD problems with 3 ms.

3) ASIO2 = 32 In/Out ---> ASIO2 64 = 64In/Out

Pulsar Power!

Ulli@3MS running here smoothly on a PIII 1.0 GHZ
It really depends on tweaking the machine. Check other threads in here, fx:

Hello! :smile:

Thank you guys for replying :smile: I am aware of the various XP tweaks and I have tried almost everything... from times to times I experience various minor problems, which disappear by themselves...probably, it is due to overheating...

Another question (irrelevant to the above): I want to multitrack record a live concert. So basically I will be getting sound from an analog mixing console. Except from the A16Ultra what other (cheaper) alternatives do I have, in order to get the various tracks into Pulsar throuth the ADATs? (Always with 48KHz, 24bit quality)

Thank you :smile:
