you can get lost here quite quickly.
add letter-titles to the vertical columns.

Holy I/O matrix Batman! Would it be possible to color every 4 rows /columns a vary shade (ala grey, white, grey, white) for easier visual referance? I was having enough trouble trying to fill up the 16X!

Hi there!

Is it possible to do with this device to hook MORE inputs to ONE output??? (simple pre mix)
I guess not. I've tried it but could not to make. Just ONE input to MORE outputs..

I'd like to mix ASIO12+ADAT12, ASIO34+ADAT34, ...... ASIO1516+ADAT1516 and then hook the 8 stereo output into the 2448's 8 stereo Ins, instead of hook the 8 stereo ADAT outs and 8 Stereo ASIO outs separately to 16 stereo Ins.

this is all i can do for a free version right now. to add multiple inputs to one destination would also require a lot more dsp.

Yes.
I've tried to do my idea with the old BigMixerv2b, because there are 16 group channels.
It works well, but eats really too much DSP.
(
I'm wondering why a simple mixing eats so much...

this is just a switch version. allthough i have not coded any atoms myself i have done a little c #. the output memory location is being told to read from one of the input memory locations. since the 32x32 has 32 switches with 32 inputs it reads and writes only 32 times per sample clock. the mixed version would have 32 adders with 32 inputs. each input of each adder is read and added for the output. like the matrix for the modular 2 each input to the adders is also multiplied by the value of the knob. so you would have 1032 read opperations,1032 multiply opperations and 32 add opperations that would have to be done between each sample update. a few other things would also happening in the mixed matrix but that is mainly where the dsp is going.

micro mat (but not so micro) will be out in a few weeks
