Hi all,
I need a litle bit of help here - I've been looking for at cheap solution to get some buttom in my monitor setup. I've got a pair of Yamaha NS-10M and I have can get the "JBL Control SB5 Sub Woofer" for 120 $/€, and it is 8 years old.
The questions are:
- Is it any good?
- Would it sound ok with my yamaha's?
- Do you think the price is ok?

Cheers!

Hi!
...as long as I can remember the control 5 were not dedicated sub-woofers but two-way studio monitor pairs, try a search over there...

Hi zezappa,

Thanks for your response, it's true - the control 5 isn't a subwoofer, but the SB5 is

And unfortunately there's no info on it on JBL's site, so if anyone know something about this subwoofer, please let me know.

Cheers!

well, I can't really comment on the SB5, but I guess the Five is similiar to the Control One, just larger.
Since it is a very crisp and detailed speaker (considering the price) the SB5 should fit your Yamahas from sound character.
I dunno what a SB5 is new, but the amount for an 8 year old unit seems pretty high to me.

cheers, Tom
