Back in Time Live is a unique series of events originated in the UK by Chris Abbott of c64audio.com. The plan was originally to celebrate the C64 remix scene, one of the biggest musical undergrounds in the world with hundreds of remixers and tens of thousands of fans, by simply playing dance remixes very loudly in a huge club!
As plans do, the first one in Birmingham developed into the biggest C64 reunion ever, with Rob Hubbard, Martin Galway, Ben Daglish, Dave Whittaker, Fred Gray, Tony Crowther, Gary Liddon, Mark Cooksey, Jeff Minter and LOADs more all in the same room.
A couple of successful events (and a sell-out performance) later, Back in Time Live stands for a unique mix of SID grooves played loud, a great atmosphere and a chance to meet the people who make the scene happen, live musical performances, and alcohol. And a celeb or two!
This isn't a demo party. You don't need to be clever or famous to have a great time. You just need to bring your thirst and a listening ear: it will be caressed (loudly!).
Now, thanks to Volker Buckow (Dr.Future), Germany (Wedel, Hamburg) will be the place to be. June 21st will feature the first BIT Live event outside the UK, and it's going to be BIG!!
