Just listened to the turkish and Belgian tunes(and the austrian...)
Belgium's tune sounds like redone Era or Adiemus. Worse, the turkish tune sounds like Shakira. I prefer the belgian tune.
Geez I hate these competitions.

I like the contest for guessing the steals in the songs
Austria, the riff: Queen - We will rock you
the group with the '80s back' song:
Football's coming home (dunno who did that)
Germany, the bridge: Beach Boys - Good Vibrations
my favourite was Romania, really took a while but imho most was from finnish Bomfunk MCs - Freestyler
of course those weren't exact copies, but enough to take the catchy parts from the proven hits to fill the own gaps
cheers, Tom

to be honest, us belgians should be happy... imagine the costs for organizing this competition. unlucky turkey, i guess they could use the cash for other things, like building earthquake proof schools.
but enough of that... i was really sorry i couldn't watch this year. it's a classic in our circle of friends. the music is absolute crap, of course, but that's the fun.
i only heard excerpts from the belgian and turkish song on the news, and the uk act.
i couldn't believe my ears. i can imagine my friends laughing their asses off like hell. from what i have heard, the belgian and turkish songs are quite good for such a competition. i liked the turkish song better than ours.
and what about austria??? i've heard they had a song which started as a yodle
thingie and ended in death metal
it's this kind of things that make such evenings a fun tv night, like last years greek robocops, germanies old rocker crawling across the stage on his 'fours'.
hehe
i liked the latin dance thing which won last year A LOT! but i guess it had more to do with the beautiful girl, taking off her dress...
WTF... about ten minutes wasted waffling about eurovision song festival??? pffffffff
too much sun for me today...
