Hi Omb,
I use a Kenwood home amp in my little studio, but in another studio we bought the MAM PA 100 Studio amplifier.
It sounds good, clear, pressureful and honest with our Tannoy Reveal passiv monitors.
You have done a good choice to buy the Tannoy, you will find them in many studios around the world.

The PA100 has an impedance of 22KOhm, a frequency range from 20Hz to 100KHz(?).
The Signal to noise ratio is 97dB at 30W to 1Ohm and his output has the capacity of 2x 50Watt at 4 Ohm or 2x35 at 8 Ohm.
We paid around 130€ if I remember right.

For a picture go to http://www.mam-germany.de, there click on products and then amplification.

cheers
