Another thought has occured to me about trying to use XTC mode - can I assume that because my host SX sytem uses a delta 1010 as it's asio driver, that XTC mode will not work, because the asio driver in my host is not the Pulsar ?

Isn´t it possible to specify the driver for each track?
If not - just go to the settings and use ASIO Scope as device...record your xtc project to audio and switch back to your delta for doing the rest...
