Although the focus of ScopeRise to date has been audio processing through DSP, the focus widens this month to include a discussion of the FerroFish A16 MKII, one of the best means of getting audio into and out of your Scope system.  This successor  to the well known Creamware A16 Ultra interface features improved converters and a means of future proofing your studio with the addition of 64 channel MADI whilst still maintaining ADAT compatibility with your current Scope gear.  A great investment with a foot in the door to the future.

Third party development also continues its mission as DASGOST release their new high-end  CONVOLVEQ 64 band equalizer.  A precision tool for mastering especially useful for accurate spectral manipulation when only the master mix is available.  Other developers will benefit from Sonic Core's new SDK (Software Development Kit) to be featured in a future issue of ScopeRise.

Speaking of high-end, John Bowen's Pro-Wave is the featured synthesizer this month and has been made extensive use of by artists featured in this issue and a future issue.  Not only is Pro-Wave  implemented as a Scope project synthesizer, but also as a Modular synthesizer component where its functionality can be extended with other Modular modules.

There is also something from the Do-It-Yourself brigade, instructions on not only how to make STDM cables (for linking multiple Scope PCI cards together) but how to use even longer cables to link to cards in an external configuration.

Using Modular IV to emulate the sound of the 8 bit 'Sorcerer' microcomputer was a good way to learn basic Modular concepts.

Is this a Prophet 5, a Waldorf, a Modular module or a synth within a synth?  John Bowen packs all this into one cool synth.

A new tool for precision mastering, this EQ has 64 bands and can show the results immediately with it's analysis display.

Four of these top AD/DA converters, daisy chained with MADI can handle 64 channels.  But first lets find out what one can do!

STDM Cables combine the power of many Scope PCI cards into one.  So what if you need to build one quickly in an emergency?

Sometimes the simplest devices are the best.  The DAS-2A Compressor can produce a quick result using just three controls.

We revisit Magesongs, with more Scope use since issue #3 and now extending to music video media with a new message song.

An easy way create a separate sound for your headphones independent of a main mix is this excellent device from Shroomz~>.
