This month we take a look at various sound reinforcement techniques used in Scope mixing on a per track basis.  How can we fatten some of those important tracks?  Lead or otherwise, a track or part that deserves to stand out a bit more can be treated using techniques other than the normal equalisation, delay or modulation techniques.  Feedback and Valve 'fatteners' can be used to beef up vocals, drums, synth leads, you name it.  The 'FAT CAT' by Adern and SpaceF's 'FAT Inserts' give us some options as well as Niceboy's feedback techniques.

We also look at some options in terms of rack mount portability.  It's true you can reduce your live footprint by decreasing the height of a racked Scope host computer, but how far can you go before heat becomes an issue?

Long overdue is a compendium of Scope 'MIDI' tips, so we've consulted some of the masters from PlanetZ in terms of how to get the most out of your Scope system's MIDI functionality.  Also for keyboard players, we check out JHulk's Modular resurrection of an early '80s polyphonic synthesizer, the fat sounding Korg Delta.

Plus we hear from Bud Weiser, who finally got his chance to get his hands on the XITE-1 by stumbling on a back shop bargain too good to miss.  How much of his studio gear and live rig can he now replace with this ultimate DSP audio product ?  We find out, plus details on his live and studio Scope projects.

Finally, artists 'Dreamsquad' show how Scope improved production on their latest album.  Oh, I almost forgot, here's a few free devices.

Bud Weiser finally gets the opportunity to share in the Xitement after many twists and turns in his equipment reorganization.

Adern's Fact Cat wins a lot of fans in the Scope mixing fraternity and adds great value to the Adern 'Music Pack'.   The Korg Delta was marketed as a string machine, but it was much more.  JHulk helps resurrect this classic in Scope Modular form.   If you google 'feedback' you will find dozens of techniques on how to avoid it, but in this tutorial NiceBoy shows us how to use it.

SpaceF FAT Inserts are widely used in Scope mixes to impart a 'Furiously Analog Touch' to any lead track that it can benefit.   With Scopes devices and routing MIDI all of a sudden became complex.  We look to the masters to provide us with tips and tricks.   Many Scope users choose to rack mount their DAW.  We look at their choices and solutions for live and studio situations.

Synthesized and electrified, network agencies have programmed their minds.  Information revolution speed of light.
