When Im working with Akai samples that are 44100Hz, Should I set my project to 44100Hz? I was told that the samplers (i.e Halion, Sts...) convert the frequency of samples automaticly...is that so?

No, some of samples still be in 32khz (akai) or even 20khz like soundfonts!

So, Hmmm... I'm sure my question is somewhat stupid, I apologies, but still I don't get it..
Do I have to set my Luna project Sample rate
to the S.rate of the Akai samples I use?
Or will the Halion/STS change the sample's s.rate to the rate used in the project?

simple answer is 44.1khz on lunar-setting should works!

according to the s.rate of the samples he uses?
In other words: Is it possible to use Akai samples in a 48 or higher project?

No, you don't have to do that. The sampler fix this automatically. Although if you have a project thats sampled at

Of course, increasing the sample rate of the project should result in better sound quality if the samples used is either recorded or pitched to a samplerate that is higher than that of the project,but at higher dsp cost. This is theoretical so you probably wouldn't notice it though. It also depends on how the sampler handles filtering.

Bottom line: Use 44.1kHz unless you have a reason not to do so. The sampler doesn't really care that much.
