Straight up this month a custom built Scope bass synthesizer from CWModular.  Also for synth freaks, DJMicron has given us some Modular shells for several Scope synths.  Extending this with shells for a couple of mixers, and you can build your own multi-synth set-up in Modular.

We spotlight two Scope stock devices including the PSY-Q which is great for adding aural excitement to a mix.  Another 'forgotten' device called 'Spectral Balance Controller' is unearthed by JKSuperStar and proves to be a great device capable of making quick spectral adjustments to an entire mix or sub-mix.

Electro artist 'Aqob' goes live using the XITE-1 on stage as his main performance synthesizer engine and mixing powerhouse.  Along with artists 'Live Bait' who are also using XITE-1 as a studio and a live tool.

On the technical side of things we have some tips from Scope distributor GaryB on how to optimize your computer for Scope, and MausMuso introduces us to a product useful for assisting with studio environment acoustics.

Next year ScopeRise distribution will change from bi-monthly to quarterly.  This is to allow more time for article research and the expansion of the current ScopeRise archive to leverage it as an online 'Scope' knowledgebase.  First issue in 2013 will be in February as this will allow a more timely coverage of the Anaheim NAMM show, as on our current schedule NAMM articles do not get published until mid-March.

It is important to get room acoustics right for any recording studio.  But when options are limited, ARC2 can make the corrections.   Sometimes the simplest devices work best.  The BassSynthi is no exception in allowing one to make great bass sounds quickly.   Also known as Tau, Aqob is one of a growing number of artists using Scope XITE-1 as a live performance tool to reduce rig sizes.   GaryB shares his knowledge and provides a few concise pointers on setting up your PC to obtain the best Scope performance.

'Perfect Stranger' is the first single from Live Bait's upcoming new release album 'Express Your Stress',  made on Scope.   DJ Micron provides Modular users with some shells for running the best Scope synths and mixers inside the Modular environment.   JKSuperStar reminds us of another low profile Scope device that isn't often discussed. The SBC deserves a test drive.   Want to brighten your mix?  Psy-Q is another great Scope device based on analog exciters that started appearing in the '70s.
